About JCK

JCK were the first firm to manufacture timber Secured by Design doorsets.

JCK have a history dating back to the 1830s, and were the founder members of the Leicestershire branch of the British Woodworking Federation (BWF).

Secured by Design
We were the first company to produce timber doorsets with the Secure by Design license. SBD Licencees and all of our security products are Q-mark certified with BM TRADA (Chiltern Dynamics) which covers PAS 23/24, DD171 and BS7950/6375. We have additional test evidence concerning operational life, acoustic, thermal and fire properties.

We have supplied doors, windows, and joinery components throughout the UK for refurbishment and new-build projects, including works for housing associations, councils, national and regional construction companies, as well as many individual bespoke orders.

We are able to adapt our SBD designs to cost-effectively help customers meet their requirements. Our range of products includes single and double doors, windows, door and window combination frames, communal doors with access control, fire exit doors, flat entrance doors, FD30 fire doors / FD60 fire doors, external joinery and custom designs.

Joinery doors are traditionally constructed with mortice and tenon joints and are available in softwood or hardwood. A wide variety of styles are available and SBD compliance can be achieved for specific designs.

Solid core flush doors are available with a variety of vision panels and mouldings, and can be supplied with a paint or veneer finish. Flat entrance doors are available either as a flush door or a six panel mounded skin. A wide range of wood/laminate veneers are also available. These security doors have been acoustically tested for Part E compliance achieving 32dB or better sound reduction. All single doors are now available with low maintenance, easy to operate single-point locking.

All of our product types can be produced from PEFC & FSC or independently verified sustainable source materials, with Chain of Custody.

Also available are our internal doorset kits to complement our SBD and custom door sets. We can offer numerous alternative styles and specifications.
